I search for shifts in perception and challenges to expectations. My varied artistic media include animation, character design, creative writing, graphic design, illustration, music, performance, photography, sculpture, video and web design. My current creative investigation explores the role of improvisation in movement, comedy, fine art and theater.
I received a BFA in sculpture from the Pacific Northwest College of Art. I was a professor of art at PNCA from 2004 to 2014, while working on freelance design projects and pursuing an independent creative practice. I have been the graphic designer at the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art (PICA), and currently I am the graphic designer at Chabot Space & Science Center in Oakland California.
